Indigenous Tsaatan tribe

Indigenous Tsaatan tribe

€3825 per person

Tsaatan tribe (reindeer herders) is one of the last indigenous tribes, who survived for thousands of years inhabiting the remotest part of Southern Siberian taiga (Northern Mongolia) moving between 5-10 times a year.

Presently, only 40 families have remained their existence and are threatened by the dwindling number of their domesticated reindeer and are considered a dying culture.

The Tsaatan people have evolved an extraordinary and unique way of life, dependent both on their reindeer and the forests where they hunt. They aspire not to disturb the ecological balance and live a sacred life, cultivating their spirituality, valour and intellectual powers.

The Shamanistic practices among the Tsaatan community are unlike any other Shamanistic beliefs in the world. Shamanism among the Tsaatan people is thought to be the oldest variant of Shamanism practised by the Mongolian nomads. Not only do they worship “The Eternal Blue Sky and Mother Earth”, but they have many sacred ceremonies and rituals that they use in their daily lives, including those for hunting and invoking or stopping the rain.

This unique experience will be led by shaman Windhorse. She is worldwide known for her traditional Mongolian (advanced) shamanic teachings and is part of World Master Teachers.

This tour is a great opportunity to learn more about the Mongolian shamanic traditions in depth.
