Silent Meditation Retreat in Sacred Monastery (CLOSED)

Silent Meditation Retreat in Sacred Monastery (CLOSED)

€2200 per person

“Silence is not empty it is full of answers.”

The Silent Meditation Retreat is a journey on accessing our real and essential nature, the supreme and divine Self by noble silence and meditation. Noble silence means silence of body, speech, and mind. This retreat aims to guide people to master their awareness, detox the mind, develop higher (visual and audio) perception, improve efficiency with time and mobility in peace.

The retreat will take place at the Tuvkhun Khiid Monastery. It was first established in 1648 by the first supreme spiritual authority Zanabazar on a rocky mountain elevated 2300 meters above sea level. The monastery is surrounded by impressive beautiful mountainous area and exists near a unique geological formation called the ‘Womb Cave’, where people can slip in and slip out. This process symbolizes a re-birth and purification.

The daily silent meditation will be combined with vocal meditation techniques. Vegetarian healthy foods will be combined with intermittent fasting.

  • Early in the morning we will depart to Kharkhorin
  • Kharkhorin is the famed 13th century capital of Mongolia. It is built strategically on the Silk Road. Erdene Zuu Khiid, the main monastery, was built in the 16th century. In its highest peak the monastery had 60 temples and over than 300 gers. There are two Stone Turtles remaining from the four which originally marked the boundaries of the ancient city. Turtles are considered symbols of eternity and so were placed as protectors of Kharkhorin (formerly Karakorum) with inscribed stone steles on their backs.
